MapSource

This article is on how to add maps MapSource.
Map in MapSet called MapSource. MapSource software that is given when buying a GARMIN GPS device. MapSet initial mapset is given a standard that is not complete (often called the basemap). Map detail GMAPSUPP.IMG has a file name and there is a memory in the GPS. Map detail is usually found when buying a GPS device package. Of course this does not detail the map can be displayed directly in MapSource or NRoute. For the few steps required to display a map to MapSource detail.
Software needed:
1. Gmaptool.exe (http://www.anpo.republika.pl/download.html)
2. cgpsmapper.exe (http://www.cgpsmapper.com)
3. MapsetToolKit.exe (http://cypherman1.googlepages.com)

Step (Gmaptool Dos version):
1. Collect gmapsupp.img, cgpsmapper.exe and gmaptool.exe one directory on the map
2. Go to the DOS Prompt (type "cmd" in the Run box)
3. Move gmapsupp.img, cgpsmapper.exe and gmaptool.exe to one directory.
4. Type "gmaptool-S gmapsupp.img" in the command prompt (the letter "S" is S capital, not small s)
5. type "cgpsmapper mapset00.mp" in the command prompt to generate the preview map.
6. Exit from the DOS prompt.
7. Run MapsetToolKit
8. Select "INSTALL A EXISTING MAPSET"
9. Create a name registry, for example "PetaBaru"
10. Select a TDB file (select mapset00.tdb)
11. Select Overview Map (select mapset00.img)
12. Select Maps Directory (select the folder that contains the map)
13. Select Typ file (if any)
14. Click "Install"
15. Open MapSource and mapset search for a recently installed.
16. When MapSource hangs, uninstall Mapset already installed using MapsetToolKit.

Release of gmaptool, check the http://www.anpo.republika.pl/download.html.
Now gmaptool is based so that more windows to make it easier for users to split a folder.
How to use the windows version gmaptool (wgmaptool)
1. Run the windows version of gmaptool.exe
2. On the Files tab, click Add Files, select the file gmapsupp.img akan di-Split
3. On the Options tab, specify the location of the file cgpsmapper.exe (http://www.cgpsmapper.com)
4. On the Split tab, specify the directory splited map, and select to create files for MapSource
5. On the Split tab, check at compile map preview
6. Press button Split All.
7. Run MapsetToolKit
8. Select "INSTALL A EXISTING MAPSET"
9. Create a name registry, for example "PetaBaru"
10. Select a TDB file (select mapset00.tdb)
11. Select Overview Map (select mapset00.img)
12. Select Maps Directory (select the folder that contains the map)

To unlock mapsource on the map (this is not procedure for using illegally garmin map, this procedure only for unloch map for mapsource with assumption that user already buy legal map from garmin):
1. Download and install mapinstall from garmin (http://www8.garmin.com/support/mappingsw.jsp).
2. Get 25 digit unlock code in *.unl, coba periksa di direktory hasil split, (when you buy the SD card from GARMIN, surely there is a gmapsupp.unl file, open the file with notepad and record 25-digit lock code. Then type the 25 digit code on mapsource).
3. Run Mapinstall.
4. Select Tab unlock region.
5. Type 25 digits code.
6. Finish.
